Indoor & Outdoor Play Spaces
At Growing Minds, children are encouraged to explore and engage in play across both our indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Our thoughtfully designed indoor spaces are open plan and feature a range of learning zones where children can play, explore, and develop at their own pace. These environments also support mixed-age group interactions, helping to foster meaningful social learning and connection.
Learning materials are intentionally presented in engaging and accessible ways, encouraging children to make independent choices and take an active role in their own learning journey.
Our outdoor environment offers a variety of play experiences that support physical development, sensory exploration, and imaginative play. With spaces for climbing, running, and hands-on discovery, children are supported to build confidence, develop gross motor skills, and safely explore challenge and risk in a nurturing setting. The environment is continually reflected upon and adapted to meet the evolving needs of the children and families within our centre.
Meals
We provide wholesome, nutritious, and child-friendly meals that are freshly prepared and cooked on-site each day.
At Growing Minds, we are proud to provide well-balanced, nutritious meals that support your child’s growth and overall wellbeing. Children are offered Morning Tea, Lunch, and Afternoon Tea each day, with a seasonal menu that rotates on a four-week cycle to ensure variety and balanced nutrition. The weekly menu is displayed in our entry area for families to view.
Our meals are developed in line with government guidelines and the recommendations outlined in “Caring for Children – Birth to 5 years (Food, Nutrition and Learning Experiences),” helping to ensure children receive a significant portion of their daily nutritional needs. We are also mindful of food intolerances, allergies, and individual dietary requirements.
We are committed to supporting our local community by sourcing ingredients locally wherever possible, ensuring freshness while also contributing to local producers and suppliers.
Please let our Director know of any allergies, sensitivities, or cultural dietary needs so we can accommodate your child appropriately.
Incursion and Excursions
Incursions and excursions play an important role in early learning, offering children the chance to engage in new and meaningful experiences beyond their usual environment. These opportunities help children build new skills, strengthen their social development, and broaden their understanding of the world around them.
